incorporating a ten-drawer lacquer cabinet, Japan, c. 1700

Stamped 'DELORME' for Adrien Delorme (maître in 1748, active until 1783) as restorer
H. 85 cm (33.5 in.), w. 107 cm (42.1 in.), d. 58 cm (22.8 in.)

Cabinet: Spruce wood carcase, drawers decorated with "nashiji" lacquer (inside) and black lacquer with gold decoration, so-called "maki-e" (outside)
Commode: Pine wood carcase veneered in amaranth; gilt-bronze mounts; rouge griotte marble plate
